 Aiko is one of our Senior Powder Ombré Artists here at Meraki Beauty Bar, also known as Aikonic Brow Bar. Her journey began in 2017 as a loyal lash client at Meraki, where she quickly developed a deep interest in the world of permanent makeup. With no prior experience, she took her first brow course with Michelle in 2019—and hasn’t looked back since.

For the past six years, Aiko has trained under Michelle’s mentorship, mastering her technique and developing her signature style. By 2021, she made the bold decision to leave behind two full-time jobs to pursue her passion as a full-time PMU Artist and Marketing Manager. Aiko has since flourished in the beauty industry, earning a reputation for her precision, professionalism, and warm connection with both clients and students.

With three years of teaching experience, Aiko has guided many aspiring artists through their own PMU journeys. Her teaching style is clear, supportive, and rooted in real-world expertise. Train with Thao – Microblading Artist & Educator

Born and raised in Vancouver, Thao began her journey in the permanent makeup industry over five years ago. Before becoming an artist, she worked in animal health care, with dreams of one day becoming a veterinarian. Her compassion and desire to help others were always at the heart of everything she did.

It wasn’t until a brow appointment with Michelle that a new passion sparked. After a meaningful conversation during her session, Thao realized she was drawn to the challenge, precision, and potential impact of the permanent makeup world. With no prior creative background, she took a leap of faith and enrolled in Michelle’s Microblading course.

Since then, Thao has trained under Michelle for over seven years, growing not only as an artist but now beginning her journey as a microblading educator. She has gained years of hands-on experience and has worked with a wide range of clients, helping them regain confidence through expertly crafted brows.Now, with over half a decade of PMU experience, Thao is excited to guide the next generation of artists. Her teaching is rooted in compassion, technical skill, and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in this evolving industry.

Michelle Tran - Founder of Meraki Beauty Bar.

Michelle Tran is the owner and founder of Meraki Beauty Bar. For the past 10 years, she has continuously honed her skills in Microblading, Powder Ombré, Nano Brows, and Combination Brows, earning 13 certifications from industry leaders around the world. With over 5,000 clients and more than 10,000 procedures completed, Michelle has gained extensive expertise in correcting and reviving old permanent makeup.

Michelle personally trained both Aiko and Thao to become educators, passing on not only advanced techniques but also the importance of professionalism and integrity.
