Michelle Working

Michelle Tran is the owner and founder of Meraki Beauty Bar. At a young age, her parents taught her and her sister the value of hard work and instilled in them the importance of having a strong work ethic. Before discovering the world of permanent makeup, Michelle worked in several different industries ranging from being a medical assistant to a mortgage funder at a bank. Although she enjoyed learning about different industries, she was always seeking a career path that allowed her to express her creativity and artistry.

2016, Michelle was first introduced to permanent makeup when she saw her friend’s freshly microbladed brows and was amazed by how beautifully they complimented her features. Although her interest for permanent makeup only grew since then, she was hesitant to sign up for a permanent makeup course as a career in beauty wasn’t considered a secure and stable path in her culture. Nonetheless, her friends and family saw the potential she had and after weeks of convincing, Michelle finally decided to invest in training.

For the past 6 years, Michelle has continuously strived to advance her technique in Microblading, Powder Ombré, Nano Brows and Combination Brows, completing 12 certifications with industry leaders around the world. To date, she has worked with over 3500 clients and has garnered extensive knowledge in correcting and reviving old permanent makeup.

Now in 2022, Michelle has not only built herself a successful career as a permanent makeup artist with clients from all over the world, she has also grown Meraki to a team of 15 artists specializing in lashes, nails, lips and brows!

A word from Michelle

Michelle working

“When I first began my PMU career, I learned Lip Blush, Powder Ombré, Microblading, and Eyeliner in a matter of 5 days. That experience made me realize that in order for students to fully grasp the curriculum and have the confidence to create great PMU work on their own, there needs to be training programs that were better structured. Although it is important to teach the technique, it is even more important to teach PMU etiquette, consultation, customer service, and sanitation. My passion in helping students grasp the technique goes beyond just one way of teaching. I strongly believe that there is more than one correct way of doing things, and I strive to help each student reach their full potential.”   – Michelle Tran, Educator
